PulseFind Privacy & Data Use Notice

PulseFind is a lightweight browser extension that helps users download supported public Instagram Reel videos that they own or are authorized to save. This Privacy & Data Use Notice explains how the extension handles information.

1. Our privacy commitment

PulseFind is designed to work locally in your browser. We do not operate a PulseFind account system, do not sell personal information, and do not send your download history, selected video URLs, captions, or language preference to a PulseFind server.

2. Information processed by the extension

To provide its core function, PulseFind may process the following information locally on your device:

Public Reel page information: the current public Instagram Reel page, its visible title or caption, and the public media source exposed for the video you are viewing.
Local preferences: your selected interface language.
Local download history: the filenames and local Chrome download identifiers for recent downloads, so that the extension can display its recent-download list.

This information is processed in Chrome and is not transmitted to a PulseFind-operated server.

3. Information we do not collect

PulseFind does not collect or sell your name, email address, passwords, direct messages, private posts, payment information, precise location, full browsing history, or the contents of unrelated tabs. The extension is not designed to access private Instagram content.

4. Permissions and why they are used

Downloads: starts a download only after you click the download button.
Storage: stores the selected language and recent-download entries locally in Chrome.
Active tab access: identifies the Instagram tab you are actively using so the popup can show the current Reel status.
Instagram and public media host access: is limited to Instagram pages and Instagram public media delivery domains, solely to identify the public Reel you are viewing and its video source.

5. Downloads and your responsibility

PulseFind is intended only for content you own or are authorized to save. You are responsible for complying with applicable law, copyright rules, platform terms, and the rights of content owners. PulseFind does not claim to bypass private-content controls or remove watermarks.

6. External contact links

The extension may offer optional links to WhatsApp, WeChat, and the CX Growth Lab About page. These links open only when you choose to use them. Any information you provide to WhatsApp, WeChat, or another external service is governed by that service’s own privacy policy.

7. Data retention and your choices

Local preferences and recent-download entries remain in your Chrome extension storage until you clear the history in PulseFind, clear extension data in Chrome, or uninstall the extension. You can remove downloaded files through your browser or operating system at any time.

8. Security

PulseFind uses Chrome’s extension storage for local settings and does not intentionally transmit the local data described above to a PulseFind server. No method of electronic storage is completely secure; please keep your browser and device protected.
